Sensuous, unique, affluent.
Wines like this make me happy, there really are not enough of them available in our market. The Taleiga hails from the inland Dao region and is made from from a blend of indigenous Portuguese varieties: Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta-Roriz, Jaen. Its affluent aromas of spiced plums, black current jam, cherry twizzler, baking spices and toffee liqueur are echoed on the palate. Sweet and generous purple fruits are layered with licorice, clove and vanilla pod flavours. A sensuous palate is followed by a lengthy finish trailing charred cocoa nibs and coffee.
Pair hearty rustic meat or bean stews, spaghetti Bolognese or grilled portobello mushrooms.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Canadian Chedder & Chive
