Dry, juicy, zesty.
Clos du Soleil's 2023 rose is made from Pinot Noir, a different beast than the 2022, which was Malbec.
There is a delicacy to this pale peachy-hued pink; expect notes of cedar, orange zest, watermelon peel and dried wild flowers, wild brush and small red berries. It's a dry wine, crunchy with restrained fruit flavours, rather it suggests orange peel, tealeaf and cedar in the mouth. Fresh, nicely balanced and juicy.
Pair: Picnic fare, mushroom dishes, grilled salmon, cheese and tapas platters, etc.
