Smooth, modern, plush
Sterling sources its Cabernet from the Central Coast of California from Paicines and Paso Robles, San Bonito and San Lucas; the wine is then aged in French and American oak. This 375ml aluminum bottle is an interesting vessel there is no vintage here, but I was told it's a 2019.
Aromas of currents and purple berries, sarsaparilla, pipe tobacco and grape jelly lead to a fleshy modern palate with smooth tannins and plush fruit, mocha and vanilla flavours. A crowd-pleaser.
