Succulent, balanced, textural.
Classic Tempranillo aged in French and American oak for 12 months followed by additional bottle age, the Marques de Caceres delivers bruised strawberries and iodine, saddle leather, prune, vanilla, cinnamon, clove and dry earth aromas. It's a medium-full bodied wine with liberal toasted spice and dark cocoa and licorice root flavours. The tannins are dry and chalky but it has lovely balance overall.
Textural and succulent, it lends itself well to food, especially slow cooked dishes; tomato based sauces, roasted meats, grilled red bell peppers and other savoury tapas.
