Rustic, approachable, fresh. From the region that gives us Port, this red blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Sousao, is a straight-forward and food-friendly.
Quevedo is part of a new generation of small family wineries based in the Douro. For many years, these families were growing grapes, and making Port wine, for merchants based in Vila Nova de Gaia. Quevedo cultivates 100 hectares of vineyards across six properties in the Douro valley, from the sub-regions of the Cima Corgo and the Douro Superior. Oscar's is a casual picnic-style of red and it delivers notes of strawberry jam and cherry liqueur, vanilla, licorice, chocolate and baking spice aromas. It has a rusticity to the palate with wild red berries, cigar, leather and cocoa flavours. Textural and fresh it's a simple food red with a medium-length finish.
