Excellent value!
Made from vines grown on calcareous soil vineyards resting between 700 and 1000 meters above sea level. A blend of Garnacha Tintorera (aka Alicante Bouschet) and Monastrell (aka Mourvedre) - this is unarguably a massive wine.
Dark and spicy offering black raspberry and black cherry, brooding roasted coffee and bittersweet chocolate, pipe tobacco and pepper, toasted oak, green olives and a hint of violets. The palate follows suit - it's a mouthfilling and dense wine with plenty of savoury flavours and chewy texture. It doesn't let up - from attack through finish.
A wine that requires grilled meats or aged crumbly cheeses.
