Polished, potent, generous.
The Falernia estate is located in the northernmost viticultural region of Chile, in the Elqui Valley and Number One is made from what has come to be known as Chile's grape, Carmenere, along with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
It's a limited production wine that was aged entirely in oak.
Wild black berries and white pepper, grilled red bell peppers, charred orange peel, salted cod and cedar aromas lead to a palate with sweet and generous fruit and pronounced umami flavours. The weight is notable it's thick, almost glycerol, and it's potent. The tannins are polished.
