Slick, fresh, savoury.
Regional wine pioneer Fort Berens, is located at the base of the Fraser Canyon, near Lillooet where they make mostly estate-only wines.
The 2022 is made from Lillooet Pinot Noir and it delivers notes of tart forest berries and strawberry, orange peel and cedar, fine spices and dried flowers with earthy undertones. It has a slick texture with flavours that echo the nose. Nice salinity makes it a food friendly pink and it has a long berry-tinged finish. Good freshness overall--a rose for fattier meats and BBQ.
