Classic, expressive, pristine.
This classic Gew is hand harvested from chalky-clay and limestone soils in the AOC Alsace. It was aged on fine less for four months before an additional 5 months in vats prior to bottling.
Tasting this wine brings me back to why I fell in love with Gewurztraminer; it's expressiveness and purity. I find these qualities lacking in many I come across these days, so I don't reach for it often.
Here you have nougat drizzled in honey, lychee and rose petals, orange blossoms and exotic spice aromas. Rich but not fat, oily but not unctuous; concentrated and pristine and an alluring lingering earthy character.
Seriously good.
