Elegant, structured, savoury.
From the Vistalba sub-appellation, within the Lujan de Cuyo appellation of Mendoza, this Malbec (80%) and Cabernet is consistently well structured; 20% was aged in oak barrels for 12 months.
Salted plums and currents, dark chocolate, charred spice, tobacco, cedar and leather aromas lead to an equally savoury palate. Dark chocolate and coffee, wildberries and spice, cigarbox and fleur de sel flavours dominate the palate. It has a fresh elegant character and lengthy finish.
Hearty dishes pair well hard cheeses, rich bean casseroles, BBQ, spag bol, roasted mushrooms...
