Fresh, chewy, savoury.
IMO Tannat in Argentina is much more approachable (softer tannins and more fruit expression) than those of its birthplace, in south west France.
This interpretation features notes of cherry flambe, orange peel, charred carob, grilled plus, leather, white pepper and espresso liqueur. It's a fleshy red with loads of underlying spice along with dark chocolate and grilled sausage. It has a distinct chewiness and will pair well with rich meats, grilled veg, hard cheeses, roasted mushrooms and spaghetti with bolognese.
