Levity, freshness, fragrant.
This 2018 old vine Garnacha (80+ year old vines) was grown at 650m above sea level in Carinena, in Spain's north eastern Aragon. It spent a minimum of16 months aging in oak before bottling.
Showing more umami on the nose, this very old vine Garnacha suggests roasted cherries and vanilla, prune and coffee, tobacco and earth. Fresh cherry flavours lead a smooth palate; it has levity and good bones overall. Licorice, pipe tobacco, cola spices and vanilla flavours play a strong supporting role. Delicious.
