WineDiva's Review

Stylish, fresh, engaging.
Founded in 1995, Stag's Hollow resides withing the boundaries of the Okanagan Falls sub-GI and produces an exciting range of well constructed wines.
The estate Amalia Vineyard is located in South Okanagan on the West Bench in Osoyoos and it produces this consistently wonderful Syrah.
After fermentation it was pressed into French oak barrels (35% new). After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged for an additional 15 months on fine lees before being blended together and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Notes of white pepper and smoked paprika are melded with crushed cherry and fresh red berries, cocoa, coffee and bacon fat. It's a medium-bodied wine with elegance and refinement; flavours of forest berries, fine peppery spices, salami and cocoa dominate the palate. Bouncy and engaging.
