Valley Commons is a winery established in the District Wine Village in Oliver in 2021. It is owned by Rudy Verhoeff and Kyla Richey, former professional volleyball athletes. They also purchased Stoneboat, an established winery on the Black Sage Gravelbar, also in Oliver. Both wineries fall under the Verhoeff Group of Companies, which is headed by Paul Verhoeff, Rudy's father. The family also owns a flooring company, a brewery and restaurants in the Fraser Valley.
This Cabernet Franc delivers aromas of red licorice and red currant, dried roses, spiced cocoa, vanilla and a hint of green bell pepper. It's medium-bodied and juicy with red fruit flavours, cocoa, tobacco ans a spicy finish. Fine textural tannins here and the finish is fresh.
