Tangy, slick, dry
Three generations of the Fortin Family work together in one of BC's newer wineries. It began in 2008 when Rod and Pat Fortin purchased a property in Oliver. Several years later their son and daughter-in-law purchased an adjoining property and then with sons Taylor and Kelsey added more vineyard built the winery and wine shop.
Cabernet Sauvignon is the core of their production, but they also grow Merlot and Chardonnay.
This Cabernet Sauvignon rose is a pale salmon with notes of crab apples and rhubarb, watermelon rind, bitter oranges, cherry liqueur and strawberry jellies. It's a dry style with a light-medium body and flavours of tart red berries, tomato leaf and grapefruit peel. Slick and tangy is a definitive food wine.
