La Petite Abeille means little bee which pays homage to the importance of bee and their role as pollinators of the estate Blue Bee Orchard (and overall health of the planet) where the fruit for this cidery's juice comes from, but also the appearance of the bee's image in France, and throughout French history.
This version is made from Granny Smith apples and Bartlett pears and is 8% alcohol.
Classic crisp apple notes rest atop vague pear and leesy notes. It's considered off-dry,but in the realm of mass produced ciders, this one definitely leans drier. It has a fuller body and good depth with bracing acidity and bold apple-y flavours with a snappy, lip-smacking finish.
