Savoury, fresh, classic.
Chile's flagship Carmenere is always smartly represented by Osoyoos' Moon Curser. Grown in the hot South Okanagan the 2021 (the last vintage of this wine I tasted was the 2019) shows classic notes of green bell peppers and green olives, black licorice and coffee, roasted plum and dark chocolate, tobacco and quite notable salty undertones. It is supple and savoury but also juicy. Flavours of salted wildberries and cocoa dominate the palate.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Canadian Chedder & Chive
