Vibrant, profound, exotic. Grown in the sub-GI of Okanagan Falls on Stag's Hollow's estate Shuttleworth Creek Vineyard, this willowy Albarino always delights me. Grown primarily in Spain, and in Portugal where it's known as Alvarinho, it is a refreshing white that can be light and crunchy or offer deeper stone fruit notes.
This version doles out profound honey and sweet white peach, exotic flowers and musk melon aromas. The palate shows concentration and depth with vibrant grapefruit and vague mineral flavours. Lengthy and mouthwatering. Pair: seafood and molluscs, but also creamy goat cheese, salads and sushi.
