Lovely, slick, balanced.
This classic Pinot Gris is hand harvested from chalky-clay and limestone soils in the AOC Alsace. It was aged on fine less for four months before an additional 5 months in vats prior to bottling. If you've fallen out of love with Gris in recent years, it's time to step back and visit the section marked Alsace your wine store.
Warm creamed pears, chamomile tea, lime, pink grapefruit and honey aromas are grounded with notes of smoked cremini mushrooms.
It's off-dry with a lovely weight and slick texture; it has wonderful fruit expression and spot-on acidity for balance.
Pair: Munster Cheese with fennel seeds, salmon, mushroom wellington, flavourful Asian dishes or holiday ham or turkey.
Pairs Great with Gone Crackers Roasted Shallot & Herb
