Lovely, mouthwatering, perfumed.
Township 7's Provenance Series rose is made primarily from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon with small amounts of Malbec, Petit Verdot and Syrah harvested from estate vineyards in Naramata, Osoyoos and Oliver.
The Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot were cold soaked on skins for 4 hours then cool fermented for three weeks. The two Cabernets were fermented separately in a similar manner.
IMO this 2020 is one of the best coming out of BC; a pale dusky pink with rose gold glints it boasts cranberry, pomegranate, orange zest, field flowers and wet tobacco aromas. It's got oomph and verve--a mouthwatering palate doles out apple skin and blood orange flavours layered with faint spice and vanilla. Racy and perfumed with lovely concentration and complexity.
