Silky, elegant, lovely
One Faith Vineyards is owned by businessman Bill Lui who has his WSET and has taken winemaking courses through UC Davis in California. He is joined by Richard Cleve a veteran Okanagan viticulturalist who planted the (now) One Faith Black Sage vineyard in Oliver in 1992. They make nine wines including this Reserve Chardonnay, which was fermented and aged 10 months in a combo of steel vat and French oak barrique.
It has fresh lemony notes woven with starfruit and yellow apples along with vague spice, acacia flowers and honeysuckle. Silky and elegant with notable levity, it is a lovely white wtih texture kicking in mid-palate. The finish trails spice and oak and plenty more lemony flavours.
