Fresh, peppery, supple.
Osoyoos-based Mooncurser make a wide range of wines, many from varieties rare to Canada. This Syrah suggests spiced blackberries, mocha, fine white pepper, smoked meat and coconut, vanilla and a whiff of mint on the nose. Generous fresh purple berries lead the palate; a supple weight and nice concentration it trails toasted oak and spice along with peppery flavours.
Pair: grilled or roasted meats aged goat cheeses or rich winter stews.
