Fragrant, pleasing, supple
Three generations of the Fortin Family work together in one of BC's newer wineries. It began in 2008 when Rod and Pat Fortin purchased a property in Oliver. Several years later their son and daughter-in-law purchased an adjoining property and then with sons Taylor and Kelsey added more vineyard built the winery and wine shop.
Made from Cabernet Sauvignon aged 14 months, 25% new French oak, this effusive red doles out sweet kirsch and cloves, star anise and vanilla liqueur, sour cherry and prune with wet burlap undertones. It's a supple wine with more sweet generous fruit on the palate alongside baking spices, dark chocolate and espresso flavours. A solid red, balanced and pleasing.
