Dry, zesty, racy.
O'Rourke's and Peak Cellars is owned by Edmonton businessman Dennis O'Rourke who maintains a 300-acre property of vineyards and orchards called Carrs Landing, and 7-acres around the Peak Cellars Winery in Lake Country; in total, 110-acres of estate vines.
This traditionally made Riesling sparkler all about the citrus; the nose is all tart lemony notes along with unripe crunchy peaches atop wet stone, a hint of smoke and baker's yeast. Dry and zesty in the mouth it has racy acidity and flavours of lemon and apple peel with leesy undertones. A nice afternoon sip.
