Celebrating 25 years in 2020, Stag's Hollow is a family owned winery located in the sub-GI of Okanagan Falls.
This deliciously fragrant 2020 Syrah from their estate Amalia Vineyard in Osoyoos and Upland Vineyard in Naramata was aged 15-months in French oak (25% new) before bottling.
The nose is ripe and redolent with black cherry and plum pudding, espresso, violets, star anise baking spices and a hint of white pepper. It has a fresh entry that leads with white pepper layered with briary berries, espresso and black chocolate flavours. It's a plush wine with structure freshness and notable length.
Pair: cured meats, lamb, aged cheeses, sausage, grilled meat or grilled eggplant, Asian dishes with plum sauce or hearty vegetarian bean burgers.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper
