Supple, fragrant, generous. Harvested from Dona Paula's estate in Gualtallary (at 1,350 meters [almost 4,430 ft] above sea level) the Uco Valley's Tupungato, it's a terroir with cool climate and mineral, rocky soils.
This is a consistently pleasing Malbec with lashings of raspberry jam, vanilla, blackberry and licorice, violets, chocolate and fragrant spices. The palate is supple but fresh, generous fruit is layered with spice, coffee, fine cocoa and tobacco, there is a hint of apricot on the finish, which is laced with raspberry.
A perfect weekday red with structure to hold up to hard cheeses, roasted mushrooms or grilled meats.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Parmesan & Rosemary
