Fragrant, pretty, fresh.
My go-to Italian white, this fragrant variety is at its best in Sardinia but is also found in Tuscany and Southern France. Expect pretty aromas of stone fruits and lemon curds, fleur de sel, honey, macchia (Mediterranean wild shrubbery) and green almond. The palate mimics the nose, it is unique, has notable concentration and weight and a lemony/pine-y finish. it is a wine that is good with almost everything, but in a pinch, pair with tomato and burrata salads, seafood, most appetizers or pasta tossed with saffron, olive oil and pecorino.
