Fragrant, juicy, smooth.
Specializing in small lot (primarily white) wines, Terravista Vineyards is a gem on the vibrant winemaking region anchored to Penticton called the Naramata Bench.
Their second label En Terre is a new project, seven years in the making. En Terre meaning earthen or of the earth is the embodiment of this special wine series and also the name of Terravista's home vineyard. En Terre reflects their commitment to sustainability and mindful winemaking practices. It is about striking the balance between nature, land and innovative techniques.
The label's distinctive logo, a symbol of the brand's ethos of perpetual motion, draws inspiration from Davinci's golden ratio; a timeless representation of nature's balance and beauty.
There will be five wines in total, but for now, three have been released including a traditional method sparkling brut, an off-dry Riesling and this medium-bodied Cabernet Franc.
Notes of licorice and leather, sweet cherry and wild berries, purple flowers and coffee lead to a juicy palate. In the mouth it is a little shyer and earthier with tart red fruit, tealeaf and vanilla flavours. It is smooth and enjoyable.
