Spiced, zesty, fresh.
Pioneering one of BC's emerging wine regions, Fort Berens (named after a trading post, which was located on their property some 150 years ago) is located Lillooet, BC in the Fraser Canyon.
The 2021 estate Chardonnay suggests aromas of brown spices, charred lemons, warm butter, roasted hazelnut, yellow apples and oak. The palate is supple and had a salty character alongside spice, toasted nuts, oak and fresh citrus flavours.
Pair: Corn chowder, roast chicken, pan seared halibut, smoked cheeses
