WineDiva's Review

Succulent, velvety, complete.
Recently released, the 171 cases of Quails' Gate's premium Founders' Series Syrah was hand harvested and aged 17 months in large format oak. Made from clone 877, it was grown in silty loam soils.
Aromas are purple berries and plums, vanilla, white pepper, violets, coffee and dark chocolate. It has excellent structure, is robust yet elegant, with flavours to echo the nose. The tannins are chalky and it has a long bright sweet and spicy finish. Succulent and smooth, harmonious and complex.
