Compelling, honest, savoury.
This Northern Rhone-meets-Okanagan style of Syrah grown on Bartier's Cerqueira vineyard on the Black Sage Gravel Bar in Oliver was aged 16 months in neutral oak barrels before bottling.
Compelling aromas of purple berries and cocoa, white pepper and vanilla with candied violets and licorice lead to a juicy yet savoury palate. It's medium-bodied and supple with bright briary berry aromas layered with white pepper, cocoa and tobacco flavours. Excellent structure and freshness.
