Complex, harmonious, fresh.
The White Gold is a reserve tier Chardonnay made from Fort Berens' estate Dry Creek vineyard in Lillooet; it was fermented and aged (seven months) in French oak barrels .
Expect admirable complexity and aromas of hazelnut, yellow apples and lemon. In the mouth, toasted baguette, roasted nuts, lemon and spice flavours lean into a minerally finish. Nicely balanced oak contact and a snappy finish make for an elegant and harmonious wine.
Pair: roast chicken, polenta with brown sage butter, cornbread, buttered popcorn, and smoked mozzarella.
