A Vancouver Urban Cidery, Windfall was started by couple Jeff and Nathaly. They fell in love with cider in Mexico City and now make their own using traditional techniques and experimental: yeast strains, fermentation and aging.They use fruits and botanicals from the Pacific Northwest.
I'm a huge cider fan and try any I can get my hands on, so was looking forward to a new offering.
This one, Jackpot, considered a dry craft cider, has a creamy-mousse weight and herbaceous apple-y flavour. It has a nice weight and my preferred dryness, but didn't quite have the precision, acidity and juiciness I crave.
