Dulcet, berries, spice.
Kitsch Wines is a Kelowna winery, established by born and raised Okanagan residents, Trent and Ria Kitsch. Winemaker Graham Pierce (formerly Black HIlls and Time Winery) joined just last year.
Aged in French oak (15% new) for eight months this youthful Pinot comes from East Kelowna.
A dulcet nose of raspberry ham, cherry cola, licorice, cinnamon, pipe tobacco and tealeaf aromas leads to a much earthier palate. Tart red berry and sour cherry, oak spice and char flavours dominate. There's some angularity here, and tightness that requires some times to coalesce.
