Outstanding, prodigious, supple.
It's hard to forget standing in Emiliana's verdant, biodynamic vineyard on a surprisingly hot November day in 2008, with sweat trickling down my back - it was also my first biodynamic vineyard experience.
It is a consistently prodigious wine from the valley of big reds, Colchagua. An organic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carmenere and Petit Verdot, which is concentrated and complete. Expect notes of smoked meat and sweet brown spices are layered with sarsaparilla, dried violets, cedar chips and robust wild berry aromas. It is supple in texture, generous in weight and is borderline brooding. The finish suggests dried fruits and pipe tobacco.
