Rustic, textural, savoury.
One of Portugal's indigenous varieties, Touriga Nacional is a rare find outside the Iberian borders.
Expect strawberry and cherry cola, licorice, pipe tobacco, leather, dried flowers and pepper on the nose. It's a textural wine, medium-bodied and made for food. Flavours of coffee, cocoa, tobacco leaf, toasted spice and charred peppercorns define the palate. It has a distinctly earthy and savoury character.
