Elegant, intense, contemplative.
Rightly allocated to the premium Platinum tier, and made only in the best vintages, The Last Word is mostly equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with 24% Cabernet Franc and 10% Malbec, which was aged 10 months in French oak.
It is an intense wine, a deftly woven one of dark chocolate and wild black berries, licorice, brown spices and vanilla. The palate mimics the nose; a supple wine with a generosity of fruit. The balance is wonderful, it is an elegant and contemplative blend, which will fare well in the cellar for a few more years.
