Savoury, oak, sauvage.
The new Fort Berens Reserve tier look stands out and really separates itself from their classic tier. This one, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc is a recommended decant wine, with its savoury and muscular character. Notes of toasted oak, roasted jalapeno, tobacco, soy sauce and black fruit lead to a palate lined with bitter-sweet chocolate, tobacco and espresso flavours. The oak was pronounced when tasting the fruit restrained.
