Made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, this exceptional fizz was aged on lees for seven years to enhance complexity then disgorged prior to release in March 2016.
Blue Mountain setting the bar high for sparkling wine, not only in BC, but in Canada and it shows in this fine example.
The nose is a declaration of yellow apples, dried pear slices and preserved pineapple with lemon curds, red currents and hazelnut pralines. Impressive tension in the mouth - it is decidedly racy and focused but with impressive depth. Tiny beads ascend in the glass and culminate in a fine mousse.
