Aromatic, concentrated, floral.
Nestled along the Shuswap River in Enderby, north of Vernon, and far north of Kelowna, Waterside Winery was recently acquired by a family from Alberta.
This aromatic wine, is made from Ortega, a grape which originates in Germany and is a hybrid crossing of Siegerrebe with Muller-Thurgau. It has a naturally high sugar content and low acidity.
Wild flowers and stone fruits are layered with notes of honey. It's made in a drier style and has notable weight and concentration with some phenolic texture and a pithy finish.
