A new retro label look for Market White and other Sperling wines, appeared, as much as I am aware, for the 2015 vintage.
A white blend from the historic Sperling family estate in Kelowna, this vintage seems to have evolved from previous ones, it's made from: Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Bacchus.
Notes of creamed honey, lemon meringue, peach compote and marshmallows sit atop, band-aide and wild flowers. The palate is sweet and honeyed, it has good weight and concentration. On the second day, revisiting it, the wine had become oxidative and one-dimensional, although the acidity on the tail end was vigorous.
