Made from traditional Veronese varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, the Bonacosta is named for the foot of the hillside vineyards in the classico zone. The nose emits cherries and chocolate, leather and sweet spice with a hint of rose petals. It's rustic and straightforward with mocha, cherry, spice and leather flavours to echo the nose. Expect good acidity, making it a respectable dinner wine with tomato-based pastas, grilled meats and most Italian cheeses and dishes.
