Lakeside Cellars is a new 14-acres on the eastern shore of Lake Osoyoos. It rests on what used to be the Haynes Homestead. Unable to save the existing structure, new owners Harbans and Harkesh Dhaliwal used parts of the historic estate when building their new tasting room in 2016.
This Cabernet was harvested from a Golden Mile vineyard and was matured in neutral French American oak for 24 months.
Overt aromas of violets and sarsaparilla, patchouli and black currents are settled atop chocolate covered plums. The palate is contrary; lean but fresh with white pepper, clove and cinnamon flavours; it is smooth and medium-bodied.
