Lakeside Cellars is a new 14-acres on the eastern shore of Lake Osoyoos. It rests on what used to be the Haynes Homestead. Unable to save the existing structure, new owners Harbans and Harkesh Dhaliwal used parts of the historic estate when building their new tasting room in 2016.
This particular wine, a blend of Cabernet Franc (44%), Cabernet Sauvignon (32%) and Merlot was aged in neutral French and American oak for 24 months.
Grapey aromas are layered with smoked spice, cherry twizzlers and vanilla. It's a simple red; fresh and approachable.
