Made in a traditional, regional style of re-fermenting grapes from already made Amarone in order to lend a richness and concentration to a second wine. In this case the Tomassi "Ripasso".
The aromas are expectedly rich - dried cherries and plum, spicecake and toasted spices, dark chocolate, roasted espresso and smoke. It is a chic wine with great freshness to offset its density. It has intensity and leaves the impression of chewiness in the mouth and it finishes with coffee flavours.
Pair with rich slow roasted meat dishes or finish with strong, hard cheeses or dark chocolate.
