Shameless, affluent, ripe.
Harry McWatters' Chardonnay comes from the Sundial Vineyard on the Black Sage Bench.
Expect affluent aromas of pineapples, golden applesauce, caramel and charred orange peel with honeysuckle. Similarly sweet and ripe fruit dominates the palate, strongly underscored by caramel and vanilla, baking spices and apricots in honey. It is a creamy and modern style without doubt, but for those who love a voluptuous and shameless Chardy, this one is for you.
Pair: saffron mussels in cream and Chardonnay broth, grilled Dungeness crab and brie brioche, roast chicken, corn chowder and creamy pastas.
