WineDiva's Review

Concentrated, impressive, savoury.
An organic blend of Malbec and Corvina (the most important grape of Valpolicella), which is part appasimento (utilizing withered grapes), paying homage to Masi's home of Valpolicella, and the Ripasso Recioto and Amarone wines made there. It is perfumed with pretty violet aromas, which are layered with blackberry and black cherries, vanilla, mocha, leather and pipe tobacco. Balanced, supple but attractively textural with a weighty palate flavoured with spices, balsamico and the addictive bitterness of espresso.
Pair:Roasted meats, strongly flavoured and mature cheeses or mushroom stuffed ravioli.
