Style, minerality, juicy.
Kitsch Wines is a Kelowna winery, established by born and raised Okanagan residents, Trent and Ria Kitsch. Winemaker Graham Pierce (formerly Black HIlls and Time Winery) joined one year ago. This is the first Kitsch wine I have tasted and was impressed by the style of the Pinot Gris.
Delicate notes of wet stone, crunchy not-quite-ripe green pears, wildflower honey and faint lime zest lead to a juicy palate with a slick weight. Like the nose, the palate is mineral focused and dry. Restrained and textural it shows an elegance many of its brethren lack.
