Value, tangy, verdant.
The newish D.O (designated appellation) of Leyda Valley is a cool region close to the pacific ocean with morning fog and poor, shallow soils on its rolling hills.
This wine exhibits those cool qualities offering jalapeno, nettle, passion fruit and gooseberry with green apples, white peach and a hint of honey. It is verdant and tangy in the mouth as well; grassy and zesty with overall good concentration and a bit of fleur de sel lingering on a mouthwatering finish.
Pair: Goat cheeses, ceviche, summer salads, herb omelets, and spring vegetables.
