Value, tangy, fresh.
The newish D.O (designated appellation) of Leyda Valley is a cool region close to the pacific ocean with morning fog and poor, shallow soils on its rolling hills.
It has a wonderfully fresh nose of gooseberry and nettle, elderflower and grass clippings, lemon and grapefruit. The palate is tangy with racy acidity and the tropical fruit is brightened with citrus and sweet herbs.
Pair: Goat cheeses, ceviche, summer salads, herb omelets, and spring vegetables.
